About

Ben Coleman

Hi, I’m Ben Coleman, and I have the privilege of serving as the Senior Pastor of North Coast Church in Noosa, Australia, alongside my amazing wife, Sarah. Together, we are passionate about building a vibrant, Christ-centred community where people can encounter God, grow in spiritual maturity, and live out their calling with purpose and authenticity.

A Bit of My Journey

I am an ordained Pastor with the Australian Christian Churches, but my calling into ministry has unfolded over many years and through a variety of life experiences. Before stepping into full-time pastoral leadership, I spent more than 20 years in banking and financial planning. Those years shaped in me a practical understanding of people, leadership, stewardship, and the complexities of everyday life—insights that continue to inform my pastoral approach today.

My ministry journey has been diverse and deeply formative. I spent several years serving in a large multi-campus church in Brisbane, where I gained experience across preaching, leadership, pastoral care, and church operations. During that time I had the opportunity to plant and pioneer a new campus, an experience that strengthened my love for mission, community engagement, and building teams.

Over the years, I’ve served in both volunteer roles and full-time pastoral ministry, each season shaping my heart for the local church and reinforcing the conviction that healthy, Spirit-filled community is one of the most powerful forces for transformation in the world.

Spiritual Formation & Calling

I am a committed member of the Order of the Mustard Seed (OMS)—a global, ecumenical community of Christians devoted to simple vows of obedience to Christ, community, and mission. I am also a student member of the Companions in the Ministry of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, a journey that has deepened my passion for spiritual formation, contemplative practices, and helping others develop a life-giving relationship with God.

These commitments reflect a growing desire in my life: to see people not only come to faith but also learn to walk intimately with Jesus in their everyday rhythms.
